Tremaine 2014

Fact about Kaylee, she LOVES to dance!  She dances while doing the dishes.  She danced while eating.  She dances in the car.  You name and she has probably danced doing it.  So when it is time for Tremaine she really dances! No for real, hours on hours a day for a whole weekend.  We as a family all work together to get her here and she couldn't be more excited.   She said this year was way better than last year.  She knew the dancers this year and it was a little extra exciting because of Twitter.  She actually had the dancers re-tweeting her tweets!  Now that is pretty awesome!
She gets to meet amazing dancers and learn all sorts of new moves.  This year she was so sore she actually stayed home from school on Monday to rest.  Shh....

Last but not least, Marty Dew.  Kaylee has the pleasure of him coming to the studio to dance with them as well.

Lincoln is 5!

Wow, time has flown by.  I can not believe my baby has turned five!   He is very proud of this accomplishment but I think he may be more excited to turn 6.  He keeps saying "when I turn 6, I can do anything I want".  We are not bursting his bubble just yet, lets see how 5 goes first!  Turning 5 sure has its adventures ahead.  He will be starting kindergarten and mommy is quite sad about all the growing up this year will bring.
This year he decided on a tractor party at the boat club.  We were supposed to have hayrides with the mule but the melting snow from a few days earlier quickly turned into an ice rink once the temp dropped again.  He didnt seem to bothered by that as long as he got to have his friends there.   I was amazed at such a great turn out and was blessed to know how many people love Lincoln too!  We sure think he is pretty special.

Extra Special Day!

Today is Valentines Day, or wait no... its Lincoln's Birthday!

Our family's Valentines Day changed drastically five years ago.  Since I am not good with feelings and emotions I was excited to have a new reason to celebrate the day.  I dont think that Matt was too sad about it either.  However I think I have given him the best Valentines present anyone could ask for!

A story I will never forget:

We were told that we were having a baby girl and we all wanted a boy very much.  I was worried that he was upset that we were going to have another girl.  One day as we are driving down the road we started discussing the possibility of having more children even though this was supposed to be our last.  He says to me (joking of course) " If you really love me you will give me a boy ".  So that was something I reminded him once our precious baby girl was a BOY!!   What a perfect day to show him just how much I love him, after all I created a boy to prove my love!

Even though I really am not good with emotions, I do love getting little things for the kids for Valentines Day.

And then there is Lincoln's Birthday!

Monster Jam 2014!

Monster Jam comes every year in February which just happens to be the month that Lincoln has his birthday.  Last year we decided to get tickets to Monster Jam for him for his birthday and we all had a blast.  So this year we decided to do the same.  He was very torn on whether or not he wanted to go to Monster Jam to see the monster trucks or to Supercross to see the motorcycles.  After a long debate we decided to go to Monster Jam for his birthday and he is asking Grandma for the Supercross tickets for this birthday. When I saw his little face so torn I knew that he coundnt decide on his own and that I could work out a deal with Grandma!

Ha, they didnt want their picture taken.
He was happy to get a new monster truck!

Son Uva Digger was the big winner, he won the race and the free style half!

Kaylee's favorite!
Lincoln's favorite!
Dad's favorite!
Mom's favorite!

Before they started the free style portion of the night Lincoln got to meet up with his buddy Camden who was there was well.  They were too busy trying to watch the men get the dirt carried in for the second half of the show that they didnt want to deal with me and my pictures.  This is the best picture I got of them.

They watched some of the second half here on the steps since our seats were not together.  Once some seats became available a nice lady working at the Dome gave them some seats to they could sit together.  It made their night!

Before the trucks came back out they raced beater cars.  They were falling apart and leaving their pieces all over the place.  They were smoking and breaking down right on the track so other cars would be bouncing off of them.  We all thought that they were hilarious!

In the free style half of the night they usually end with tearing their cars apart.  I really can not understand why they do this but it is definitely the best part of the night.  Linc almost cant handle the wait to see this.

And the best trick (accident) of the night went to Madusa!  She was stuck like this for several minutes and they had to bring a big tractor out to push her back down.

At the end of the night we can all say we had a blast. We need to figure out a way to eliminate all the stress of the day leading up to the show though.  Lincoln is so excited he cant stop asking when it will be time to leave.  Then we always have to sit in a ridiculous amount of traffic downtown.  Then Matt and I cant seem to agree where to park.

Oh, and to top it all off it seems our Monster Jam tradition is that it SNOWS!
