Missing spider!

Our living room usually looks like this for one of two reasons.

1. Matt spotted a spider or house centipede and now cant find it.

2. Matt attempted to kill a spider or house centipede but it didn't

end with a body of the creature lying on the floor.  This means that he will tear the place apart looking for it.  Mostly because he KNOWS that it got away and he thinks it will come back and get him while he is sleeping!

Becoming a women!

Today Kaylee decided that she was strong enought to endure the pain of getting waxed.  She had been debating it for awhile so I was excited that today was THE day.  I had prepared her for the pain of it before so she was ready.  We went in and she went for it all, eyebrows and lip!  There was not as much screaming as I thought there would be but she teared up pretty bsd after the lip.  She did pretty awesone for her first time but she is not sure there will be a second.

Oh and I forgot to add that me and the stylist were cracking up the whole time. Kaylee is always entertaining!

Opening day!

Today was Opening Day for De Soto Little League.   They started off by parading yhe kids down Main St.  Lincoln was so exicted that he got to ride in the back of a truck and had been counting down the days.  Once we got there his opinion changed quickly.  He was scared and refused to get in the back.  I thought if I got him I  for a picture that he would forget his fear but I was terribly wrong.   The coach came over and clised the tailgate and then I saw how scared he really was.  He demanded that he be removed from the truck that second.  They talked him in to staying and he sat in the front seat for awhile.  By the time they started the parade though he decided he would sit in back with the coaches so he could throw his candy he brought.  I was so proud of him!

The parade leads strait to the fields where they have a ceremony and other activities.   It was hard for the tball division kids to sit through the ceremony because all they wanted to do was play on the bounce house.  Once it was over Lincoln couldnt get to the bounce houses fast enough.   Unfortunately we must have gotten there too soon since they we deflated.  They patiently waited for them to be blown back up. 

Happy Easter!

We celebrated Easter all weekend with family and friends.  On Saturday we dyed eggs with just Lincoln because  Kaylee stayed at a friends house and Lincoln couldnt wait.  It is sad as Kaylee gets older because she cares less and less about doing these types of things.  I told her she could skip out on the eggs at our house because I knew that we would dye them at moms too.   Once we finished dying eggs and making deserts to take to moms we headed over.

Play date at the Boat Club!

I just cant get over how when these two boys met for the first time the were 2 1/2 years old and starting preschool.  I knew from the first time I met Camden that him and Lincoln would be best friends.  I never imaged that they would remain friends after only being in school together for a year.  Camden stayed at Victory but Lincoln moved to Small Wonders and they have made other friends (Camden even has a wife) but they will always say they are best friends. Lincoln never has asked to see anyone from school other than Camden. These boys love each other so much and if they go to long without seeing each other us parents hear about it.  So happy that they have a such a special bond and I hope they always remain close.  

These pictures crack me up!  They even wanted to have their picture taken, not that you can tell.  These are seriously the best they had together but it doesn't matter they are wonderful and show exactly what dealing with these two is really like! The pictures say it all!

Branson!

Well we figured it was time, time for Linc to finally go on a vacation.  I am a homebody and unfortunately vacations are not really my thing.  I love my bed and dont like to sleep other places.  Not to mention I had been having some issues with my sciatic nerve so I was nervous about being away.  However, I am so happy we did.  Linc was so excited that he couldnt even focus.  Kaylee seemed to enojoy herself too and she is great about trying to make things awesome for Linc.  Dont let me fool you though, they fought a lot!  It is crazy how much you see as a parent when you are all stuck in a room , or a car, with each other for 3 days.

Branson is a sweet spot with our family  for sure.  It was somewhere that matt and I both spent a lot of vacations together with our families growing up.  It was the place that matt and I first traveled together.  It was the place that matt and I shared our first "I love yous" and also the place where he took me to ask me to marry him.  It was kaylees first vacation spot with matt and I and now Lincs.

I wonder what other increddible first Branson will hold for my family?
