Tropical Island? Nope our backyard!

Matt and I have put a lot of blood, sweat and tears (litteraly) into getting this pool up and running.  Last year Matt caught me at a weak moment and I agreed to get a pool.  It took us half the summer to put it up so we didn't get a lot of time to enjoy it.  This year we got an early start since we knew we were putting in a new liner and a new floor.  We managed to get it all up and running in the time we wanted so we were happy when we could focus our time and energy on making our yard beautiful.  We are both quite proud of what we accomplished this summer and our kids couldn't have been happier with their pool!

Sushi Anyone?

My friend Sam introduced me to a Sushi place called Drunken Fish.  Both Matt and Kaylee were a little jealous they didnt get to go that night so I planned a night out to take them.  Kaylee was so excited but that excitement quickly dissipated.  She was NOT a fan at all!  Matt liked it though so the night was not a total bust.
As we were leaving probably the most awkward thing that could happen, happened!  The naked bike ride!  I had heard about this so I was instantly excited and then I realized that naked really meant NAKED!  I thought that they had to at least be wearing undergarments of some kind but I quickly saw that was not the case!   So as excited as I was to see this event I had read about it soon became something extremely awkward since my 13 year old was now seeing a naked man for the first time!!!  I thought that it wouldnt last long and she could hide her eyes for a few and we would be on our way but that was not the case.  It was probably 15 minutes of completely naked men and women dressed up in god knows what riding bikes down the street in downtown STL.
After that experience we decided that we needed to stop for dessert, and tacos for Kaylee!

This night is something we will never forget!

♥ My Beautiful Daughter ♥

Sometimes I am just amazed at how beautiful Kaylee is!  She was always such a smart, independent and confident little girl with long curly crazy hair.  She has recently shaved her head and her confidence couldn't be stronger.  She can handle anything that comes her way with grace and I am so proud to call her my daughter!

Finally!!!

I have put in my time and waited patiently for many years, 13 to be exact, but I finally am able to say "I am a work at home employee"!  The last few years I have learned to appreciate Cigna in a way most do not.  This is my career and this what how I support my family and I couldn't be happier to have this be my reward for my hard work and dedication.
This couldn't have came at a better time in my life.  I run the kids around like crazy and really needed to be home more for that.  Kaylee will be able to stay after school more now since I am just 5 min away and I will be able to get her to after school actives without having to rush.  Also Lincoln is starting to play sports and this will make that much easier.  My biggest concern was before and after school for him since he is no longer in daycare and that problem has been solved.

Here is my new office, in my DINING ROOM!
