Thanks Sweet cheeks!

So we all know that little kids hear everything.  Well this morning after I handed Lincoln his toast for breakfast he says "thanks sweet cheeks"!  I guess I should be happy for two reasons: 1- he said thanks and 2- he is learning from dad how to woo a girl!  I am thankful that I have such a great role model for Lincoln.  He is going to make some girl very happy someday, that is when he is not driving her crazy!

Movie Night

We decided to have movie night with the kids.  Movie of choice was Daddy Daycare.  We had a great time together with lots of laughter.  It was nice all being home together!

Busy week for Lincoln

Since I work from home I like to find things to keep Lincoln busy.  He loves the First Baptist VBS and they bus the kids back and forth so it is perfect for me.  He invites his buddy Camden down to go with them and the bus for them is one of the best parts.  I also signed him up for soccer camp too this year and it fell on the same week but in the evenings.  It was super busy but he loved every minute of it!

Ahh, first tooth fell out!

Gross but super cute!

She said "YES" to the dress!

I cant believe we are buying her first Homecoming dress!  This was the second dress she tried on and once she did she was done.  Mom and I begged and pleaded with her to try on more but it was not even worth it.  She didnt even try to like any of the others.  She was pretty boobalicious in most of them but gorgeous!

Of course Linc had to join in the fun!
This was the best 'normal' pic we came up with.  He wouldnt take anything seriously.  After all he just sat through an hour of torture at the dress store.
Lincoln approves!

One more step toward independence!

Lincoln learned to tie his shoes in just two days, thanks to Kaylee! Since he did so good we thought a new basketball would be a great reward. We went to Walmart and he picked one out then we went around town and took some shots on the basketball courts we could find.

Lots to Celebrate!

One of our favorite family traditions is going to Fredericktown on the 4th of July.  We have also started celebrating Jake's birthday that day too.  Mom and dad buy all the fireworks and I think dad enjoys that as much as the kids do watching them.  Matt has inherited the responsibility of shooting them off now. Unfortunately Colton wanted no part of the fireworks this year so he had to stay inside with Gretchen. We really are lucky to have these times to be together.  We are also very blessed to have Jake as a part of our family.  Him and Linc are best buds and Jake needs him more than Linc will ever understand.  We have had some tough times with Jake but Gretchen has finally figured it all out by seeing some new Drs.  Jake and been diagnosed with autism so this year was a special celebration for us.  We are all taking the extra steps to understand him and help him along the way. He is doing much better now too that Gretchen is homeschooling him and their next goal is to get him back in school.  He really is a special kid and we love him very much no matter how different he is.  He is perfect in our eyes and the best cousin and friend to Linc.
Lincoln is finally tall enough to reach the pedals on the mule so he took it for a spin.  Daddy went along to help but said he did just fine without him.

This looks like trouble!

Tank races, didnt really go as planned.  A lot of noise and shocked kids.  They were way louder than we thought and the kids were not prepared!

Best Buds!

Setting up!

Mom got all the kids Murphy hats with lights on the bills.

Come on mom, enough with the pictures.

Fine we will look cute!

Ha, Brea's chair fell over.

Dad and Matt borrowed the kids hats.  They worked perfect!

She hated the flash!  This is as good as it gets.

Thats some serious conversation.

I love it when they truly look happy together.
